This month the Pride in Priorswood project - which consists of police, partners, residents and local businesses - has provided five new Urban Revolution cigarette bins to help keep the area clean and tidy. The unpaid workforce has also helped with some of the work.

PCSO Tracey Cornish said: "Over the past few months we have embarked on a number of clean up initiatives in Priorswood, including litter picks, plant potting and painting. The cigarette bins are the finishing touch!"

"We hope our efforts will allow local residents to enjoy the area that they live in that little bit more and there are more plans in the pipeline to continue this work throughout 2009."
